hahahaha
my dad fixed the dishwasher today. pulled it out and pulled it apart, broke the hose, flooded the kitchen floor, put it back in, etc...it works again! but, i was standing there talking to mom and cobie and he handed me a piece of ugly nasty dishwasher felt insulation. and i kinda glared at him. what the heck am i supposed to do with this? and then i realized---this is my xylophone! aaaaaaaaaah
so i ran downstairs, tried it out, and heck yeah it works. sounds awesome! so, all i was waiting for was for the dishwasher to BREAK. got it, inspiration, sweet now i can just break some more glass and put it all together. (yes i'm on a bit of a high from this revelation--i literally ran upstairs to blog about it. it's sad-urday today)
aaaaaaaaaaaah SO exciting to be excited about something!
and... yeah other things to be excited about!
thursday i hung out with laura again--did some tanning, then walked for like an hour on the beach--got some real sun too. :D we always end up talking about jobs and what to do, why school's so frustrating but still so good, God stuff, etc... and i had some really funny stuff out of that conversation to blog but i forget it now. you know those moments that are just plain bloggable? haha. sorry laura---i even tried to write it down thursday before i forgot--but i lost it! then on the way to school that night i remembered, but didn't write it down b/c i was driving...haha it's gone again.
thursday night though, ecf quotable/bloggables: mostly arnold. referring to droppies (dutch black licorice): 'tastes like burnt rubber!' (i LOVE un-dutch droppie facial expressions. maybe an art project one day) and later at crabby's...after megan and i spent some time being a little strange...'we chinese women aren't strange...waaaait a minute...' haha good one arnold.
well, i've narrowed down my future to bead store ness--it's the only thing i'm excited about! a goal! my small c calling. heck yeah. i dunno if this means take some courses in business/marketing/managing, etc. but oh well. fine art will get me somewhere. :D
aaaaaaand....had a good time last night: went out on a *date*! aaaaaaah :) had some crazy deep conversations about God and christianity and church (over greek food yaaaah) and then went to see V for Vendetta, which tied so well into that conversation, it was pretty weird. that conversation is not over and won't be for a while. probably will be blogged one day soon, when i get my head around it. or when it stops 'swooshing' over my head.
but the date began with a flat tire--haha--fun times! except the drive home wasn't fun--got on the highway at islington and spent about an hour getting to hurontario where EVERYONE got off and found a different route home... definitely got home at 2! (under normal circumstances, with normal tires and regular midnight traffic speeds, i could have been home at 12.45!)
so, i'm awake...my car is better now: new tire, and i cleaned and vacuumed the inside. to welcome spring---i loooove having a clean car. but it's still pretty cold out there... as my frozen fingers will tell you. and i'm halfway done my 2 rounds of cookies--chewy double chocolate and spicy oat yeah!
aaaaaaand then i have to go to work tonight. sigh. not really that bad, i guess i can make some money...
*editing later...work wasn't so bad! it was fun actually! thanks to laura, nick, julie and dan showing up. good timing, kids---you brightened up my day. :) ok hooray for sunday.

Whoop...
Can't wait to see that xylaphone either! ;)
i think my ears are bleeding, that xylophone hurts
Stiner, can you explain this xylophone to me? I think I need some visuals... :)
Jo
ok imagine a lot of glass shards...which are very random shapes and sizes, yet strategically placed to form an octave in chromatic scale... only one octave right now but it can grow! each piece is a different note. hhmm that's about it. maybe i'll take a picture.
Ooooh-kay, I think I get it now. Thanks! :)
Jo
