this past weekend i went on yet another retreat (new exec weekend training) for IVCF exec next year. not sure yet if i'm actually on exec, but the stuff i learned this weekend is more related to being a 'regular' christian on campus than just those people who are officially in leadership positions.
aaaaand...there's so much! i haven't even properly journalled about it yet, because it's all bouncing around in my head still. things like, just because you feel uncomfortable doesn't give you an excuse to not take the plunge...
one of my favourites this weekend was 'being with Jesus, with people'. that's all that's important! nothing else! puts things in perspective.
and then i watched a video last night of louis giglio's talk on simply worship (http://www.268generation.com/2.0/splash1.htm) and there was a lot of interesting stuff about worship----what it is, how we do it, why it's not always working, etc... gotta have that look in your eye! interesting, stuff to think about anyway.
and then i went to GBS/marriage counselling, but this was much more GBS than MC which was a nice break. right laura!? hehe... aaaaaand for the record, that was NOT fast driving. you girls were just weighing down my car, making real speed impossible. :P
...and now sheridan's on strike, and i was really excited to sleep in this morning (till 8! woohoo) and now i can do things like catch up on some UTM classes, catch up on studio projects which have fallen by the wayside...read some really good books, work on some sukoku...do some BEADING! i realized the other day that i haven't done anything i really LOVE to do in a long time: school, msn, sleep, is my life right now and this is pretty sad.
so i'll go drink some coffee.
