hot!

friday was my last day of driving truck and trailer. of course i just had to show off my driving prowess---we went to a new place in downtown oakville. i was supposed to turn left at burgundy ave, but missed it. i assumed belair would have a court or a circle to turn around in...so i turned down there! huge oakville sized mansions, including this monstrous house which apparently sold for...a lot...anyway that was a nice little drive until we realized that the road was a straight dead end. like no circle. so, had to drive into a driveway and back out/turn around...the second attempt worked much better (thanks sean) and after going up a few curbs but staying OFF the grass, i managed to get the truck turned around and facing the right direction. flippin oakville.
after that we took break in that little water park at neyagawa/river glen. best break ever. and THEN...after an 11 hour day, i went in to PSC and did that emergency dishpit shift. (only 3 hours..) it was so weird to be back there! like, i'd officially (finally) ended that part of my life. no more. and then i went back--it hasn't changed a bit there. i even cleaned the bathroom. like old times.
so i got home and pretty much sat...pretty tired! saturday: shoe shopping, candice's first bridal shower (with the haaks. yep!) went really well, and then watched a movie, hung out with the family and oma. youngest brother turned 13. eek! today went to church. good sermon--repent or perish. produce fruit or perish. there's not really any 'nice' way to say that...good thing i went to church today, i needed to hear that. except i got cornered by the guy who organizes accompaniment for church----even though when i play piano at park ave i'm pretty much one-handed-sight-reading-terribleness, i've agreed to take home a copy of tim n's genevan music and learn it. try it out. maybe if i play, we can get anton in there with his bass guitar more often. that would be awesome!!!
yeah so...today was supposed to be a roadtrip up to fair glen for a birthday surprise...but apparently that's not happening. bummer! but it's true---sleep is good. it's probably a better idea to just stay home and relax with the latest addition to my redwall collection than to go on long drives when i'm this sleepy.
boo sleepiness. hooray for jack johnson.
have a blessed sunday!
