Public Transit
...is, I think, going to be a blessing. Possibly wearing an ugly disguise, especially on rainy or snowy or awful days...but I'm looking forward to:
-Learning how to budget my time better.
-Walking to the GO station.
-Forcing myself to sit and wait. Sit And Wait. For things that are beyond my control. (For example, this is a very good opportunity to lose the Road Rage!) (And maybe to develop some Patience!)
-Environmentally friendly transportation. Meaning, one less car on the road burning fuel and taking up road space.
-Taking advantage, finally, of the discounts and bus passes that come with being a student. (And Mississauga finally caught on---might as well use the system if it's included in tuition!)
-My Pocket-Sized Bible.
-Spending time with my Zen.
-NAP TIME.
-Not having the opportunity to get up and leave campus whenever I bloody well want to. Meaning, I'll be on campus longer...to use the gym, to be around and talk to people, to get stuff done at the library, to hang out.
-It's funny, because really you have more independence when you can get in a car and go...but since I've paid for a GO pass and I have a U-Pass, I can hop on and off the train or bus when I need to. I'm no longer stuck buying tons of gas. I'm no longer stuck in traffic or driving by myself for long trips at a time. I definitely feel more independent/wiser/free-er/...and excited for next week when I can actually take the train and go to class. Haha, this is silly.
On the other hand, I don't have a car at my disposal to randomly go visit people, or to offer people rides, or to get me home in a rush after the last train home...haha... Maybe I'll just stop staying out so late!?
Dalia. I Love You.
You Come Back Soon Now, Y'Hear!?
