Cheesy Christmas Music

You can't see the forest for the trees.

When you sit down (or, go to the mall... or, get in the car and turn on the radio... or, get groceries... or, anything else in public between halloween and new years'...) and listen to Christmas music, you can complain all you want about the songs you hear OVER and OVER again... and you can grouch about the rampant materialism and the fake holiday cheer and the cheesiness and that the words have lost their meaning because they're overplayed.

But, those words!

Maybe you can't hear the music for the cheese.

yeah. we went skating at the mall with a bunch of youth from our church on Friday night, and they were playing songs like "O Holy Night" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" (to which i was singing quite dramatically, to the embarrassment of my two sisters!!) Christmas music is good. i like it. for the most part. (i agree with the sleighbellsring song.) like i read somewhere recently, without the Christmas music, the spirit seems to disappear. to which i agree. although i hate how the radio can make a song sound really crappy with all the static.

That is so true...I can think about christmas, and look at decorations, but the music is what does it.
