It's amazing how a good solid chunk of time spent in the Word can be so rewarding. So intense and challenging and scary and exciting. Hebrews 10 took me a long time to get through the other day...probably 5 hours or something...and it's ongoing...
And there is a reason God was following me around with it.
And wow.
I knew it, too...I knew the thing I needed to learn. It was simply underlined and highlighted and backed up with Gospel proof, and repeated, and then requiring journal action...and then Action...
Spurring one another on toward love and good deeds=spurring one another on towards LIVE BY FAITH. 'Live by faith' is the opposite, in this case, of 'shrink back'. I shrink back so often. There are so many things, legitimate excuses (and kings to be conquered), to hold me back: financial security (or lack thereof), loneliness, anxiety, time management, tiredness, way too many commitments everywhere...there are definitely more...
I responded with a gut reaction to something I thought was too big for me, and it worked out. God used that response to help someone else out, and to make life a little better for all involved. To teach me that I can speak up for what's right when my gut tells me to. To remind me of his sovereign Lordship over every little detail of my life. So 'live by faith' isn't just an abstract catchphrase for Christian Crazy...it's actually real.
Imagine that!

I love how sometimes God constantly reminds us that there is more to something that we thought we were done with. He makes his voice heard, even if we think we have heard enough. Strength to you.
I want to hear more...maybe a Thanksgiving date.
I pray for victory over those kings.
