long weekend!!

finally
well, i went to work yesterday---the tensor bandage and work boot were pretty supportive---my ankle didn't bother me at all. except during my klutzy moments where i stepped funny and stuff..
and i worked today---my foot seems to have healed. good stuff.
meanwhile, i'm all confused because we cut monday's stuff today (so we can take monday OFF) so today feels like monday. but it's not.

my new favourite word is marimba
i went to lakeshore music today and looked at a yamaha wooden xylophone...$31o for one octave. here: www.tidewater.net check out the xylophones and marimbas...i love it! considering the 2 octave chromatic lithophone(stone)--$395 us. listen...it's nice...i'd be playing a little more upbeat stuff than the example though. i have a dinky little glockenspiel 27k xylophone , 2 octave chromatic, which i use once in a while---but i got it in grade four and it's kinda dumb, it sounds like those little skateboard xylophones found in most nurseries/toy boxes. hurts my ears. maybe people would take me more seriously as a musician if i invest in a nicer instrument.
but it's either this or a trip to england:)
