campfire

i feel good! OH i feel so good!
yep that's right
i'm leaving for camp TOMORROW
yes indeed...and i'm SO excited.

a week off work...no weeds, no garbage, no trimming stuff stuck in my legs, no tripping on curbs and other seemingly invisible tripping hazards...
also, a week immersed in the Word...in fellowship with other christians, in love. muchly needed.
it's frustrating...and you all know what i mean by frustrating...! spiritual highs like campfire, like singing worship songs at band practice thursday night (which was beautiful, by the way) like CITB...they're so few and far between. they make regular everyday life seem so slow and boring and unspiritual. doesn't have to be that way, shouldn't be that way, but it sure does get pretty dry when there's no regular bible study to attend, and no regular loss of voice from singing waaay too much!

so, i'm really looking forward to this week at camp. i'm also a little apprehensive---it might be weird getting so close to God next week after such a dry spell. you know that awkward moment when you talk to someone you haven't seen in a long time... but i don't want it to be awkward! ...but it's extra awkward because it's my fault that we haven't spoken in a while...i'm always too tired, or too busy, or too distracted...or too sinful...good thing God's so gracious.
thursday night was really cool...wasn't awkward at all. i felt like i was right where i belonged---singing, going nuts on my dinky little xylophone, being part of a loud, heartfelt song sent up to worship our heavenly Father---so cool.

that's what i'm looking forward to this week: feeling AT HOME in the kingdom of the almighty God--MY God and MY Father.

Hey, congratulations on your blog. It's very interesting and I'll definitely be bookmarking you.

I have a serve tennis site. It basically covers the best information about serve tennis and related topics.
