disciple

"You will not find them sitting in pews.
You will find them among the wolves."
~J.R. Mahon

I'm scared!

But Jesus just calls for me to show up.
"Easy, like Sunday morning." ~Craig Gross

Really.
Show up.
Be a disciple.

John 17 is a prayer for me, too.
And Jesus didn't pray it from a pew.

We gotta chat about this one! I agree 100%. I believe it is unfair and selfish for us to call ourselves disciples and then sit in our comfortable bubbles.

Justine... I don't know what to do. I know you're right, and I think I've felt the same way many times before, but I get this distinct feeling that some things are the way they are in life, church, etc. not as a result of sin, but as a result of praise. And I'm excited that we're all feeling like God is going to do something big, soon, but what are we supposed to do? It's terribly hard for me to find motivation. How does Donald Miller or Bruxy Cavey or Rob Bell or affect my day to day life and choices? It's all great to talk about, but I challenge you and I plead with you to hold me accountable to make sure that our conviction leads to action, never to wallowing in self-pity or sitting around talking until we lose our voices.
Love you, Ben
