say goodbye to the system

I have been a disillusioned church kid.

TODAY marks an end to this
illusion.

SO excited!!

And about going back in time with music? FIF was so good today...SO good to hear again. After years of it being a strong favourite----one of those oldies you go back to every once in a while, an old friend you rediscover over a pint of Guinness or something equally wonderful----Every New Day can still be a daily prayer for me. Dear Father, I need you, your strength my heart to mend. I want to fly higher, Every New Day Again...

But MUSE on the other hand...wow.
A wall of beautifully engineered loudness,
assaulting my brain like a massage.
Speaking Truth into where I am right now; in Absolution.
Lyrics which challenge.
It's time for a miracle.
Let's act.

Being a closet grammar fiend, I feel the need to point out that "disillusionment" is when an illusion ends... usually in a disappointing way.

Beautifully engineered loudness. Best desciption of Muse I've ever heard.

Well, the illusion that my little box of a church is THE correct religion was a dismaying one----meaning I was dismayed to realize that I have been under an illusion for so long and that so many are still under that illusion and abusing fellow believers because of that illusion. But the disillusionment occurred over a large-ish span of time. I was BECOMING disillusioned and it took a long time. (5 years ish)

So I HAVE been a disillusioned church kid, and the disillusionment has brought me to recognize that the illusion sucked and I'm glad I'm out. It sort of works. You closet grammar fiend, you.

You spelled description incorrectly. :P But I agree---I also love my choice of words. Hehe.

Maybe over dinner? Will you be my dinner date? At some to-be-determined date, time and place, four times in the next four months?
