drums

someone took home a set of drums for the week, they're set up right behind my piano bench. too near. i think it's de-tuning my piano! it hurts. poor thing.
tonight i was going to go out with friends rollerskating, but i decided after much hesitation that i need to stay home for an evening. for once in my life. :) but now i can't decide what to do! an evening at home, friday night (so obviously the mountains of homework that i'm planning to tackle over reading week are NOT an option)...so i have all this 'free time' in which i could drag out my beads and make something beautiful...or get some string and make a bracelet just for old times' sake...or grab a really good book because i LOOOOVE really good books...or...go shopping!? nope. stay home. could watch movie. no, too many new cds to break in, need to do something with music. sufjan stevens/illinoise is interesting. (think jack johnson mixed with polyphonic spree, TONS of xylophone/glockenspiel action, plus he's christian! yah) also invested in sigur ros' newest...just because i always meant to listen to them and i never got around to it. it was hard to drive... i think SR is a veg on couch with a glass of wine sort of music...i like! just not so early in the morning in the car when i need to stay alive...
so, my midterm went...down? pretty bad. pretty pathetic. i'm not impressed...should have studied more, should try really doing school properly for once. it kinda bothers me, and it will a lot when i get my mark back...but right now i don't care enough. uhoh!
had a nomcom/ecfexec interview, that was fun. God's been amazing lately, i just have lots of joy in learning new things and stuff. and talking about Him is also cool. and then i went to work! which is also getting better---this building confidence thing overflows from school, friends and such to other areas of my life, pretty cool.
ok so dinner with the family to start off my nice friday night at home. :) enjoy your weekend.
